Dhai Puri (also spelled Dahi Puri) is a popular Indian street food, especially in Maharashtra. It is a variant of Pani Puri but with a creamy and tangy twist. The dish consists of crispy, hollow puris filled with a mixture of mashed potatoes, chickpeas, and sometimes sprouts. Instead of spicy water (used in Pani Puri), Dhai Puri is topped with chilled yogurt (dahi), sweet tamarind chutney, spicy green chutney, and a sprinkle of chaat masala.
The dish is garnished with sev (crispy gram flour noodles), finely chopped coriander, and seeds or grated carrots. It offers a delightful balance of sweet, tangy, spicy, and creamy flavors in every bite. It is commonly served as a snack or appetizer in Indian chaat stalls.
